Over Memorial Day weekend, we decided it was time to convert Garrett’s crib to a toddler bed. First Noah graduates preschool and now this!!! I almost can’t take all the milestones!!
Garrett LOVES to climb and so we were afraid one day soon we would be making our way to the ER with a broken limb as a result of him launching himself out of his crib. So, behold! The toddler bed!
“Yep, I can get used to this!”
The first night, he did great! He wandered around the room for about 10 minutes and then crawled in bed and fell asleep (we watched on the monitor). He woke up around 6:30 in the morning and was wandering around his room, confused. I put him back to bed, and he slept until 8:00. The next night, he was feeling a little more bold. He fell asleep okay, but he was quiet in his room in the morning. When I came in, this is what I found:
Every book was off the shelf. All his friends were out of his bed. Benny the Bear was overturned. Garrett had even gotten into his closet and pulled out the diaper pail!! It looks like our independent stage (a.k.a. Terrible Twos) may be lurking around the corner!!

The yummy spread!
