A friend loaned us this fun contraption that hangs in our doorway, and Garrett absolutely loves it. It’s nice to keep him entertained while I work on getting dinner on the table.

What a special treat that our family was in town for Garrett’s Baptism and so we were able to celebrate Easter with them as well! We went to church in the morning, hunted for eggs and baskets back at home and then had a delicious ham dinner (all the hard work done by my mom – I was worn out from the Baptism festivities!).

Noah was so excited to get an invitation to his buddy, Colton’s 4th birthday party. The theme was “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked!” and they showed the movie in their neighborhood theater room for the party!
Noah and Colton were so excited to see each other.
Getting ready to watch the movie!
About thirty minutes into the movie, after the popcorn was gone, the kids decided they were done with the movie and went out to play on the playground instead!
(Not pictured – Noah did the monkey bars all by himself for the first time!)
And maybe the highlight of the party was rolling down the grassy hill!
These kids did it over and over again!
Garrett decided it was more fun to watch the antics of these four year olds than sleep
He was awake for the entire party!
Garrett liked sitting in the grass
Thanks for the invitation, Colton! We hope you had a super fun time – I know we did!
Like I mentioned in our post yesterday, it was amazing that so much of our family was able to travel to Georgia for Easter weekend. We had folks from Arizona, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Carolina and Louisiana! Garrett and Noah loved all the fun and attention that came with them!
It looks like Garrett didn’t get the joke

And of course, with Grandma Nancy
(You know it’s a good picture if it makes the blog twice!)
Thanks again to everyone who made an effort to be here with us. It means so much!
For Garrett’s Baptism, we chose to have a small ceremony in our home the Saturday of Easter weekend, presided over by our pastor, Mike Day. It turned out to be such a special, intimate event, and we feel blessed that our family could be here to celebrate the gift that God has given us in Garrett James.
