Noah uses his imagination…

Friday morning, Noah and I met a couple of his playgroup friends at Imaginations at Play for a really fun rainy day activity!

The part that was probably Noah’s favorite was the “bathtub” where you could use pretend soap and play with the bath toys.  About every 90 seconds a bubble machine blows bubbles from the ceiling – and the crowd goes wild!

We almost can’t wait for it to rain again – let’s go back for more fun!

Tupper-where??

It’s no wonder I can never find a place to put our leftovers when dinnertime has passed.  There is a thief in the house who goes into the cupboard and takes the dishes for his own entertainment.  I caught him red-handed tonight playing with Daddy in the playroom…he was pretending he was drinking out of my “gravy maker”.

By the way, we don’t give Noah Coke to drink – Greg was teasing because it’s my favorite drink and the first thing I asked for after giving birth!

Practice makes perfect

I am constantly trying to find things to entertain Noah while I’m working in the kitchen.  The latest – his own plates and cutlery.  He plays with them in the high chair – why not on the floor, too?

While he’s in the high chair, he places pieces of food on the fork or spoon and then tries to bring it to his mouth.  Most of the time it is just flung overboard for Pacey to retrieve.  (These pictures were taken a couple weeks ago)

Well, at least the pincer grasp still works for feeding himself!  And you can see from his belly, he’s not going hungry!

Kitty Roulette – Round 2

Remember a while back when Noah liked to watch Kitty play with his Roulette toy?

(This video was from back in September)

Now Noah has taken to it himself…whenever we go downstairs, it’s the first thing he goes for!

Connie, when you bought this a while ago, I bet you never thought it would be a toy for Noah (who wasn’t even born yet!)  Very versatile gift!

Nothing Runs Like a Deere

For his birthday, Noah got a John Deere lawnmower from neighbors Debbie and Josh.  They thought Noah might like to learn to help Daddy in the yard.  Noah loves his new lawnmower!

Thanks Debbie and Josh – he’ll be mowing our lawn by summertime :)

Noah’s Daily Bread

Noah has the same thing for breakfast every day: oatmeal mixed with yogurt and a piece of plain wheat bread (sounds gross, I know!).  Since he is becoming more independent, he doesn’t want me to tear the bread to pieces – he wants to take bites himself.  Here is a video of Noah doing it himself…

Pacey sure doesn’t go hungry, that’s for sure!

Stunt man, Noah Fons

As much as Noah likes his inside toys, he has been getting cabin fever like the rest of us.  Fortunately, we have been blessed with beautiful weather this week (maybe the Georgia groundhog was right!), and so we have been able to spend a lot of time outside soaking it up!
I want to go outside!!

Walking outside isn’t the same as walking indoors, and so Noah is tackling the learning curve like a sport!

Noah has learned to climb in and out of his sandbox.

His outdoors routine pretty much consists of a rotation from the sandbox to the slide to visit the frog and play with the red ball…repeat.
What to do next?

On the go!

He noticed this frog sitting in the garden a while ago, and he always goes back to visit.

We’re going to be getting some rain this weekend – it might be a few days until we make it back out to play.  I hope Noah can remember the “good old days”!

Valentine Play Group

Noah hosted playgroup this week, and he received his first Valentine from Little Kelly:
