Wobbly walker

When Noah stands, he hasn’t yet had the instinct to move his feet forward.  Until today.  Every day, I have been walking, holding his hands, with his feet on mine to show him what to do.  This afternoon, I tried to show Greg how I walk with him, and Noah did it himself!  Yes, he is still wobbly, and he has a long way to go before walking on his own, but these were literally his first steps!

Rebel with a cause

Poor Noah.  For an early birthday/Christmas present from my mom, I got a new camera – the Canon Digital Rebel.  Now, instead of seeing mommy’s smiling face, 99% of the time Noah’s looking into the camera lens!  I want to get a lot of practice so when Noah’s first Christmas comes around, we’re armed and ready for the fun.

Celebration’s Fall Extravaganza

Sunday afternoon we went to our church’s Fall Festival.  While Noah was a little too young to participate in most of the activities, he had a lot of fun watching the other kids.  And what beautiful weather we had!

"I wonder if Daddy will let me climb the rock wall!"

I wanted to take Noah down this "Titanic" slide - a little bigger than the neighborhood slide!

How fun would it be to take Noah down this Titanic slide??

Noah liked the petting zoo
Oink!

We also saw a turkey (really gross in real life!) a donkey and some small pettable animals in the Petting Zoo.  We had some really yummy BBQ, which I shared with Noah.  He didn’t like the pulled pork (maybe b/c he just made friends with the pig…he was making a statement!), but he did like the baked beans – what a squishy mess!

Mummy and Me

Monday we had a very special Halloween-themed Mommy and Me.  Noah got to dress up as a pumpkin again (lucky him!), and saw his friends dressed in some very creative costumes!

"OH, you HAVE to be kidding! AGAIN?!"

Happy Holley Halloween

Saturday we went to Noah’s first Halloween costume party at Jill and Kevin Holley’s house.  They live about an hour away, so I sat in the back seat with Noah, and we played one of his new favorite games.  Surprisingly, this did not get old:

Here are some pictures from the party:

"We're going to a party...I wonder what my costume will be."

"Oh, you have to be kidding me!"

"Mommy didn't dress up - Daddy was a tennis player (real original!) - How did I get stuck in this pumpkin get up?"

There was even another baby there!

There was even another baby there! She was 4 months old

Noah: “So your mom made you dress up, too, huh?”

Of course, our little chunkin started to expire around his bedtime, so we had to call it an early night, but we had a lot of fun.  Thanks Jill and Kevin…er, I mean Peggy and Al!

How big is Noah?

“So big!”, excuse me while I get a tissue….

Okay, I’m back.  I can’t believe Noah is almost 9 months old, and now that we’re into fall clothes, he doesn’t look like a baby, he looks like a (GASP) LITTLE BOY!

I see you, Mommy!

Babysitting Ella Rae

Since he is her elder (by 18 days), Noah felt responsible for entertaining Ella Rae when she came over to play while her mommy went to get her teeth cleaned.
Oooh...an alligator xylophone

Ella Rae: "Oooh...an alligator xylophone"

"Here, let me show you how."

And while this was all very cute, if I’m being honest, these were all really pictures of Noah trying to take toys away from Ella Rae.  Sharing is a tough concept!
